Todays Dental is very excited to be launching a paid Dental Nurse Work Experience programme for newcomers to dentistry and qualified nurses returning to dentistry.

Through this program, individuals can gain paid experience in a supportive, people-focused environment, with the opportunity to build a long-term career in dentistry if they decide it’s the career for them!

Additionally, we’re also proud to offer anyone under 18 50p above Apprenticeship Minimum Wage (AMW). If the applicant pursues an apprenticeship with Todays Dental following their placement (subject to availability), we will honour the increase to AMW.
For those previously qualified but have since let their registration lapse, we’ll be offering National Minimum Wage during the 3-month placement. Following re-registration and if a position becomes available, this can be negotiated if the candidate stays on at one of our brilliant practices!
Starting Your Dental Nurse Work Experience
The first two weeks of your placement will be shadowing and observation to make sure you are happy to continue with the placement. In order to get the most out of the remainder of your work experience, we recommend starting a course of Hepatitis B injections; this is to prevent risk of infection when in the surgical environment. The first injection will be sufficient to start in surgery.
