What dental nurse careers can be – passion, purpose & growth
From Property to Patients: Hannah’s 14-Year Journey in Dentistry

The journey to becoming a dental nurse isn’t always simple for many. Straight out of school, Hannah began her working life as a negotiator at a local estate agent. While the role was exciting, the housing market recession soon shifted her focus. She realised she wanted more than just a job – she wanted purpose, stability, and a career that could grow with her.
After chance encounter with a trainee dental nurse advert, something clicked. With a background in Health & Social Care and a natural interest in dentistry, she took a leap – and never looked back.
👩⚕️Dental Nursing First Steps
From the beginning, Hannah threw herself into learning. Working across both NHS and private practices, she quickly built experience in a wide variety of treatments and practice operations, learning clinical systems and team dynamics. Her commitment to understanding every aspect of the role gave her a strong foundation and a clear sense of direction.
Upon becoming a qualified Dental Nurse, Hannah progressed her development pursuing specialised training with a dental radiography post-qualification and implant training, plus a range of CPD and online courses in areas she was passionate about. Each new qualification gave her the tools and confidence to take the next step, growing her ambition.
That ambition led her to El-Nashar Dental Care, a practice she had always admired for its exceptional reputation and values. It was the perfect place for Hannah to grow both professionally and personally.

🏥Stepping into Leadership
Today, Hannah is the Nurse Manager at El-Nashar Dental Care. Her role extends beyond overseeing day-to-day operations, holding the role of Decontamination Lead and recently stepping into the world of marketing and social media for the practice.
She leads a fantastic team of dental nurses, works closely with clinicians, and ensures the practice runs smoothly from day to day – all while maintaining the highest standards of care and compliance.
Her passion for compliance shines through in everything she does. From writing policies to maintaining gold-standard infection control, Hannah takes pride in making sure the practice is always aligned with GDC and CQC expectations.
When she’s not focused on protocols, you’ll often find her filming fun Reels with the team for Instagram – creating a strong, positive team culture in the process.
Progressing in Dentistry
After 14 years in the industry, Hannah continues to push herself, take on new challenges, and support those around her to succeed. Her journey has been fuelled by passion, resilience, and a love for people.
